Problem with links on home page
Hi, just visited after some absence and noticed I get a 'not found' for showthread.php when I click links on the home page that are intended to take me straight to particular threads. Probably something minor.
Cheers...

Seems to be OK now...
Yep, they seem to be working today.

Hmm, broken again it seems. Odd; I'm using Firefox on Fedora - I wonder if this is a problem at my end? Doesn't look like it though.

I was just coming to this part of the forum to look at this old post, if not start a new one. I was wondering if it's going to get fixed. I find it doesn't work when your not logged in. This could play a small part as to whether people sign up or not. Might want to try and fix it. Anyone else experiencing these problems?

I can't seem to recreate the problem. Can you explain exactly what you are doing that causes the problem? Thanks

There is still the problem of not being directed to the last post if the thread exceeds one page. Possiby this is unimportant, but it irritates me no end. Make your call, I'll make mine.

I will try and get that fixed, shouldn't take to much work to fix that one. I will be spending some time on the forum this evening so maybe I can get it done, if not this weekend I am going to block out to do some work that I have been meaning to do.
p.s. Good news, I will be graduating from college in August so I won't be as busy as I have been, so I will definitely be putting plenty more time into the site then. I know I have been really missing a lot around here but that will be ending before to long.

DaWei, I believe I fixed the problem you and Ooble were having with it only going to the newest post on the current page, I believe now it should go to the newest post on the last page. I hope it works. Let me know.
Booooze, Can you please describe your problem a little more. Thanks

I seem to recall the home page acting up like this on me if cookies were not allowed.

Only ever happens when I'm not logged in I think. What I try to do is click on a topic from the home page, and I get a 404 not found error. Happens in IE & Firefox, on and off. I'm looking into it right now and IE didn't work, but FF did, and I was logged out both times. FF points to the new files/naming convention, where as IE was looking for the showthread.php page. That's why it doesn't work. It might be something on my end. but it just seems odd that sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Could be something to do with the cache. Cookies are enabled. Just trying to think who's end it's on. It's probably mine since I seem to be the only one with the problem.
