the most beautiful thing i have ever heard, both in music and in lyrics, is
"I want my shit" by the insane clown posse. it brings tears to my eyes.

Excellent track DaWei, glad you mentioned it.

Without getting too distracted from my work I would like to add:

Neil Young: Old Man
Neil Young: One of These Days
Bob Dylan: Emotionally Yours
Bob Dylan: The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carrol
Wu-Tang Clan: I Cant Go To Sleep

Also pretty much every song on Dylan's 'Knocked Out Loaded' album.

These songs are the most emotionally moving of those in my collection.

Drops of Jupiter - Train
States Away - Breaking Laces
Sweet Old World - Lucinda Williams
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Paul Simon
Ribbon in the Sky - Stevie Wonder
Your Song - Elton John
Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
Slow New York - Richard Julian
Rain King - Counting Crows

The original "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" is also nice. Elton John has a number of emotionally moving songs. If you are in love, check out "You Are So Beautiful" by Joe Cocker. Stevie Wonder has some nice stuff. Ray Charles has some wonderful stuff.

Okay, I'm a fogey; I admit it.
