Its out of context of what I said. If he can't program, he wont be going vary far with game programming. Its as simple as that. So he is better off getting some other books which will help him elevate from where he is. If I remember correctly, you are an EE. Would you recommend a high school student who does not know E of EE a book about algorithmic verification on concurrent system models straight away because he wants to be an EE? Its not a good book for him.
