Well.. this is on same topic anyways.. let me know if I should start a new thread for this question:

I want to share a network drive with someone else over the internet. Normally, I just use Win Xp from my local network and "map network drive" 192.168.1.104 with a username root and a password.

Does anyone know if I can actually share this network drive over the internet? So that I can access it from school? I'm guessing by setting up port forwarding on my router it can connect to the local IP (at home), 192.168.1.104. But can this actually work? and how would I connect if my IP address if my IP from home was '142.55.208.186'.

Also, is there a big security risk with this?

Any ideas?
