Thanks, is there a function that would allow me to save it as an image and put it on the web or into a word document other than doing Print Screen?

There you go Philbon.
I've also included a small text doc which describes how to make a few interesting graphs (copy and paste the equations in). If you have any questions send me a msg. Something to note, the granularity with which a graph is drawn is set in the 'Increment' edit box, if you make the increment too small the graph will take ages to calculate! The graphs can be rotated, zoomed in/out on, axises shown/hiden. There are keyboard shortcuts for these functions - Arrow keys and Insert/Delete/Home/End. EDIT: No there isn't a save, you'll have to use Print Screen |

How freaking smart are you Duck? That program looks amazing. I was wondering What are you using for the graph? Are you using a Picture box or what? If you don't mind I'd like to make some suggestions, the first would be a way that you would take pictures. Second would be try and get movement controlled by the middle wheel in a mouse. Third I would extend the axises to be able to go forever rather that just how far they go now. Fourth would be to load in equations or a set of equations from a file, that way if I make a really cool graph I can just open a file and it load everything rather than having to copy and paste all the info in. Fifth, depending on how much Java you know, you might want to convert it to Java so you can host it on a website. If you want I'll be more than happy to help work with you on it. A few of the Math teachers in my school would love to use this program, is it okay if I give them the program?
Side note to the Moderators/admins: sorry I've gotten this off topic. |

The thing is I don't currently want to spend anymore time on it unless there are incentives. If there were people willing to buy this sort of thing then I'd do it, or (as an applet embedded in a website) if it could make an extremely popluar website, then that would be good incentive. It is written in C++, so yeah to host it in a website I guess it would need to be converted to java. Yes you can give it to your teachers if you want. And as you said - sorry moderators that this post is off topic. |
