Hello All
I just downloaded and installed MySQl and am having a slight problem: I went through the detailed setup and was never asked to set a root password or user and now when i open up the MySQL command line i am prompted to enter a root password. I tried just pushing enter and it exited. The Details: MySQl 4.1 for windwos Xp Pro SP2 (i used the windows X86 zip/installer file) Detailed Setup Details: Developer Machine Multifunction Database (Both InnoDb and MyIsam) InnoDb path \MySql InnoDB Datafiles\ Decission Support (DSS) / OLAP (20 concurrent connections assumed) Disabled TCP/IP Standard Character Set Do not install as a windows service Include Bin Directory in Windows PATH At this point it says push execute to execute ...... and it finishes ok Nowhere am I prompted to enter a root password or user |
