Thinking about moving to USA to work in software - advice please!
Hi,
I was thinking about emirgating to work in the USA as a software engineer and would appreciate some advice as to the pros and cons of it. Presently, I work verifying safety critical software for the aerospace industry. I have 4 years experience of this and just over two years design experience. Admittedly most of my experience is using in house languages and tools. I would like to move into something more mainstrem and as i've have a few problems where I live presently due to a lack of potential employers I am now thinking about moving away - with the USA and UK my top choices. Can someone please give me advice as to the salary expections, workload and general working conditons that a software engineer can expect in the USA? Any other comments also greatly appreciated.
