Oh man I HATE arrays!!! There simple enough bet I just never got into them. Thank you lectricpharaoh!

But DaWei I am being completly serios when I say my time on internet is limited and all I do otherwise is study, eat ,or even sometimes I have the time to sleep - although it seems like I should speen more of it off the internet I am on during the little time i have to learn about vb5 or just on vb5 alltogether because its the 1 thing that I find fun. even if i can only do it for a few minuites a day.

C# would seem to be a good compromise between the ease of VB and the power of C++. I'm of the impression that there are also more active C++ and C# users on the forums here than there are VB ones, so you might have better luck getting replies.

If you choose to try learning C# or C++, though, be sure to give it a try on your own before seeking help here. This means using Google (or your search engine of choice) to locate tutorials and other resources on the net, printing some material if necessary. It also means checking your library (municipal, school, whatever) for books on the subject, and perhaps even book stores. If you look, you can quite probably find 'value priced' books that are very cheap because they are a year or two old, and have been superseded by more recent editions. I've picked up computer books for under $10 CDN in the past, simply by being willing to settle for ones that aren't the absolute newest. This is plenty to get a novice started.

After you have done this, and tried writing some programs, come back with specific questions, samples of the code that's giving you problems (preferably short ones, and don't forget code tags), what the problem is (ie, what it's not doing that it should be doing, or vice versa), and proper English, and you'll get a much more welcoming reception. Oh yeah, an intro post wouldn't hurt either; many of us get offended when someone's first contact is asking for someone else to solve their problem(s).
Well I have not yet learned C++ yet because I was first introduced to vb5 and I try to just pick up 1 thing up at a time. As far as the library recorces are conerned my schools supplys are rather limited and I have learned most of what was there - in order for me to go somewhere else to get these books my parents would either have to not be working or be busy (happens usualy just on - Dec. 25) or I must give up time I cannot to get my drivers license ! I have done several internet leasons I take on the weekends but I usualy dont get exactly what I need or somthing I already know.
Im not exactly new with vb5 altough it would seem that way but its just my lack of materials and theres sometimes where I lack simple thinking. I would love to show my code but I must transfer most of it from my computer at school to the 1 I use right now and I cannot use e-mail for it is blocked, But I thank you for your help and suggestions, I will make shure to only come on when I have more then 5 minuites to myself so I may be more specific and to use proper english! Many Thanks  !
