A Mysql database of all us cities and states

Does anyone have this or know how to set it up? I also need it to find places by zip code search.

it isn't a mysql db but you can import it someway I am sure, I haven't looked at the data so I am not sure how you would have to go about it but thought I would give you the link.

well, i suggest looking at the mysql documentation. It holds the answer you seek.

I doubt there is a public accessible db with the information in it that you are seeking, you'll have to create your own.

A long time ago, I had a need for such a DB... I ended up writing a spider for usps.gov and pulled the zip codes along with their cities/states... not sure how their site is formatted now though... and I no longer have that particular DB.
