Okay, so here goes...

Hello everyone...

I'm not really a programmer by training (although I dabble in Visual Basic at my job, writing simulations and other scientific stuff).

Here is really why I am here: As a science/math whiz, I have been running an online tutoring service for chemistry, physics, math, accounting, etc. And I have had pretty darned good luck at this point. Basically, people pay me either "per question" or a block of 25 question package. And then they email (or FAX) me their assignment, and they receive a detailed explanation of their questions back from me.

SO WHY ON EARTH AM I POSTING HERE? I recently have started to recruit other professionals to expand my product base. In other words, I am finding experts in other areas, so that I can expand the subject areas that we can help with.

One of those areas is programming...all areas: web development, app development, assembly language, VB, VC++, VC#, you name it.

What I am proposing is if anyone is even POSSIBLY interested, email me at: the_man@onlineanswerman.com and introduce yourself, your area of expertise, and shoot me a proposal of what you think would be a fair way to charge people. In other words, if you propose that you would help people by proofreading their code, then what would you charge, and on what basis. Based on number of lines of code? Charge a flat rate UP TO a certain number of lines, and then a per line rate above that number?

I am interested in all proposals. Anyone who decides to sign on will be eligible for a "currently-in-the-works" profit-sharing type deal, where everyone who works under this umbrella receives a portion of the proceeds of everyone else's takes (not a HUGE percentage, something like 5 - 10%).

Anyway, I am eager to hear from you all.
