It's predominantly BS. If you're going to make the thing with a movie maker, all you need is a couple of images: one for the ball and one for obstacles. If you're going to direct the activity programmatically, as in Pong, there's no need for a movie maker. This is a classic case of a problem with ill-defined requirements. I have no idea where that fault lies, but it's as deadly in learning as it is in the real world.
