The only reason I keep IE is for windows update n such. IE7 lags horribly on my PC. I'm looking to downgrade it back to IE6 without using system restore. I haven't done any research just yet but I will once I get some time.

Between the 2, I like Firefox.

My favorite browser is still Opera.

I use FF over IE for a number of extensions and tabbed browsing, however I still use IE for when I am web developing, as I know most clients will stil use IE... and that IE has a good tendancy to display pages differently if not careful :/.

I use FF mostly, but I still use IE(6) for some things, such as Windows Update like Indigno said. I like the inline spell check in FF as well. I think that FF 2.0 uses less system resources than IE7 (at least, that's what PCWorld said), but I could be wrong.

IE7 is just plain unstable for me. It crashes my PC and runs about twice as slow for me. I did a System restore and I'm back to IE6.

My mom's friend called me last night. She's probably about 55 years old and she isn't tech savvy. Her friend who thinks she knows a lot about technology helped my mom's friend install IE7 on her brand new laptop. She told me that her computer was running slow since she installed it. She said she removed it but that didn't help. All I did was guider her through installing Firefox and the problem was solved.

And a Slashdot thing a while back said that IE7 used about four times as much memory as Firefox.

Well I think, Firefox is slower then IE7. As I am using both of them. There might be some other problem. Although FF2 is better in almost every way, however for speed I think IE7 is good.
