I have both installed and I personally I like and use them both. But I was wondering what you guys thought about them. FRom what I've read IE7 uses less system memory than FF2, but then again there are a lot of reports that IE7 isnt this or that, but I'm not sure how valid those small reports are, cause they seem more like blogs.
Thanks, and happy programming.

I'm a heavy user of Firefox's extensions. IE7, whilst an improvement over previous versions, just doesn't provide anything near the level of functionality Firefox provides.

I liked both, but then IE7 crashed on me and just haven't gone back to it since
. Personally though I don't think I can live without FireFox 2' inline spellcheck anyway.

I am using IE7 most time with occasion use of FireFox and Mozilla. "IE 7 will feature built-in RSS capabilities. Again, Firefox already does this, via the Sage extension. And IE 7 also has anti-spoofing and anti-phishing features. Firefox has this to a limited degree, and here’s one area where IE 7 might be better". However overall firefox is better.

I've used Firefox for a long time so I chose it over IE7, also the spell check feature is really useful :-)

I use both too, but mostly FireFox. It's easy to use, fast and have a nice layout. When I do some webprogramming from time to time I check the page in both of the browsers, that's the mainly reason why I've Internet Explorer installed. Everything else goes through FireFox.

well at the moment i got IE7 and FF 1.05.07 installed but not FF2, i like the idea how IE allows to use diffrent zones and then adjust the security for that zone, i don't have FF2 installed yet but i hear how FF2 doesn't allow you anymore just to accept cookies from the parent website, that you have to either have cookies on or off, and if is on and you goto a site with an advertisement and then that adveristement can set a cookie on your machine...not sure if i got it right.

However, you can still access this option from about:config (see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Network.cookie.cookieBehavior). The about.config page is another reason why I like Firefox ![]() |

I tend to have memory issues with Firefox and it does crash a lot (but then, most everything on my computer likes to crash for some reason). However, every time it crashed, the Restore Session worked fine.
Besides my innate dislike of Microsoft, the main reason I use it over IE7 is because the extensions are so great. If you do any web design at all, the grease monkey extension is incredibly useful. Plus the 5 billion other ones to choose from that are actually useful And since this is a programing forum, I'm sure some of you have looked at how the extensions are made. Pretty straight forward uml. Most anything microsoft labors to try to add into IE for a new feature is already a firefox extension

Haha IE what a joke. Theres just no competition FF is better, nuff sed. FF has the IE Tab extension, so theres no use in even using IE except for those renegade sites that force you too run IE.
