$200,000 to my dream college WOOT!!!!

hey i just got word from UW-Madison that i am accepted for their Medical Scholars Program and that i get about $200000 worth of scholarships both for the undergrad and med school.
That means (17000*2)=34000 (get 2 BS's in 2 yrs) and for med school like $200000 then neurology $150000 and 2 yr PhD for about $40000 and ill jsut round it up to 430000....so ive paid a little under 1/2 of my entire planned education
now i dont have to try for my senior year in HS (jk, actually they check quarter grades:eek: and if you dont have a 3.9 your out)

im really happy:banana:
sorry if the bananna annoys you. think of it as a happy nerd.

btw i know my name is physicist. physics is my interest but i think i can apply it BEST to neurology as the only thing left in pure physics is unification...physics is best used nowadays applied to the health sciences (biophysicist, biomedical engineer)
for undergrad:
(double) major:biophysics, biochem
minor:computer science

im planning to finish that in 2 yrs. then take the MCAT and in the program i am automatically admitted to UW-Med School (which is what the majority of the scholarship was for) when i pass the MCAT

UW Med is a great school. They pump out some great surgeons.

Those are some huge goals....and you will find out how things change once you leave the house and go to college. Huge % of dropouts, even higher % of people who change their major.

yeah, unfortunately there's a lot of "major-changing" going on at that age. i've had 4 majors.

and all those bad stats...probably why the entrance req's for a lot of universities is...have such ACT or SAT score, such HS GPA, extracurricular shit, etc..or be 21 or older. "old" people generally do better b/c they know what they want and have the maturity to do it right...as do a lot of young people, but the percentage is much less. i was an ass when i went to school at age 17, now i'm slightly less of an ass. :p

congrats on the scholarships dude, that's awesome!

DO NOT FUCK IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's a lot harder when you have a job/wife/kid/etc. you'll be making big bucks in no time if you study and stay away from the drugs, alcohol, and evil girls. (jk about the last one)

best of luck man.

Asians are typically smart, its a stereotype. (I know some pretty damn dumb ones.) Congrats on the scholarship, will come in handy after you graduate and don't have to worry about repaying student loans.
