My and probably everyone else's (in this forum) future.
http://thatvideosite.com/video/3391
Look into the mirror. My friends found this and said that I will end up like this guy. Although I have to defend myself saying that I would never stay with my parents even if it meant living in the street, and I hat anime and I'm not nearly shy enough. And my voice isn't that nasally... I hope.

ummmm, not me man.... I'm married! The trick is... unplug a while and occassionally have a drink to tone down the brain cells a bit.

It's worth noting that a number of people on this forum are older than the guy in the video and/or already married, so it's unlikely that this is everyone else's future.
That said, I don't think we should deride people like this. At least he's honest about himself, and there are far worse things to be in this world than, how to put it, somewhat geeky. |

That would be my future? Don't think so. Guess what - I have a social life.

pfff, yeah right. Just look at our top poster - the Marlboro Man incarnate! Think he ever needed a dating service? Hell, even in his sillier moments, women stand in line to sew his britches!
Quite a few "Fast talkin', slow walkin', good lookin' Mohair-Sams" in this forum. Haven't you seen all the new PFO blood? Young'ns overrunnin' the joint. Some of us must be doing something right.

But still a technoweenie :o . Life is not the 1000 cu. ft. you're standing in, even if it does have the computer and the dinner table. Move around, look around. Treat women as if they're at least equal, since they're actually superior.
I have no advice for the women readers, but if you can cook, I'll try to think some up .

Its difficult to balance social / family life and the desire to learn more or finish writing code that you have been working on since 2am the previous day. I think the stereotype of the ultra geek being involved in computers is no longer valid... probably due to the changes in society. But pencil pushers and the tree hugging types can look just as geeky. If you feel like this is your life, don't worry your path will change especially when your priorities change.

Umm, yeah. People like this guy create the stereo-types that ruin it for the rest of us. I'd take a stab and go as far as saying that the majority of people here get along well socially. My future is definitely nothing like this guy's.
Hell, I currently have the "Kissing Disease" (aka. mono, or glandular disease), from... well, the name of the disease says it all. And I'm just about to leave to go to the third party this week... haha. So, I'm not sure, but I bet a lot of people from this forum are the same. That small rant aside, I think that guy would actually be a pretty cool person to talk to if he didn't have a nasally, high pitched voice. It seems like he could hold a good conversation. |

Why is it whenever I post something like that everyone cries "Spam!"?
