I'm addicted to the buggers. Have about ten in my feed reader and another five or six I check every day.

What are your thoughts on the use of tools such as Tor and PGP in countries where free speech isn't an issue? (Yeah, serious talk now... I will never wake up at 6am again.)

A: I think that they should go ahead and use it.

Q: Here's a question that needs some thought:

Using the Laws of Boolean Algebra, show that ~(X + Y) + (X. ~Y) = ~Y

just so you know '~' ='s 'not'

A: Not another hard question.

Q: Could we please keep this thread open until the 100th page Big_K?

A. I'm guessing that if the questions are amusing or interesting that the thread will stay open. On the other hand, if it's just a place to have diarrhea for a dysfunctional brain, it'll probably be closed.

Q. Would you agree?

Almost certainly. If this thread turns out to be sucky, I'll ask K to nuke it myself.

So, in the interest of sucky questions, what should I have for breakfast?

A: Most definetly Bacon.

Q: Does anyone have an NES they'd be willing to let go of for cheap (preferably working)

I do have a NES, though it's without an RF cable. No, I wouldn't let go of it for the world.

OK, maybe the world. But nothing less.

What have I forgotten to put on my "stuff I need to take to uni" list?

A: If you're anything like me you forgot a pillow (fortunately it was a short trip, so I just went back home and grabbed one)

Sidenote @James: I've been dropping in to this forum once and a while as I'm sure most of the regulars know. I'm not quite a regular per-se, but do spend a decent chunk of time here. Honestly it's quite often the bizzare threads that keep me coming back. I'm (generally) not here to debug someones code, or to point out a missing semi colon; however I do enjoy the general design questions, the hypothetical overviews of how to design something (or in the case with DaWeI's AI, not so hypothetical) and all around technical bullshitting. However these topics and discussions are few and far between anywhere you go. It's the side stuff that keeps me coming back, especially if the people on the forum are intelligent/sophisticated enough to dabble into something truly interresting once and a while (even if it's a bit over my head).

While some of it might be a bit immature, or over the top, it's what keeps me coming back on a decent basis to find the topics listed above when they are posted.

Honestly I do enough debugging and logic sorting and implementation at work on a daily basis and unless it's a topic that truly interests me I'm probablly not going to jump into the 'what am I doing wrong' threads. I'm looking for a place to escape into design or theory once and a while, and in the absence of that maybe a bit of discussion on a new piece of hardware or software coming out.

Q: Even though I got longwinded, do you happen to agree?

Damn straight. And you're right, I did forget to pack a pillow. Putting one in a box now.

Why does Mac OS X support Samba better than NFS?
