Running applications with maven 2.
Does anyone know how to run, say a console application, from maven without using the assembly plugin. Is it even possible? I could just use javac, but when I have third party libraries that are named in the POM file, the javac is useless unless I link to every jar in the maven repository. I don't like using the assembly plugin because it takes forever to unpack all of the jar files and pack them into a single jar. Also what do you guys think of maven as a tool?
