One of the aspects of each challenge would be using our experience to decide which language has the right criterea for the job.
Again with difficulty, a level to aim for would take planning and good judgement, for example if a school need a system to log students profiles and progress then we dont need to write eye recognition technology. << Not that im saying we could or we could not.

So, basically a non-profit coding company. Interesting idea.
Although how are you going to find customers? |

And, besides John and Wizard, who really has the time? It's a wonderful idea, but I think a lot of us are cramped for time. (well, not too cramped, we do still post an obsene amount on PFO...)

I agree Samuraijack. However even if alot of people cant im sure 20 minutes of coding or even project observation or constructive critism. Time is not the issue, the help generated in that time is;

I have calculated about 7 people here prepared to do this, one or two of them maybe need a little bit of persuasion. Are we willing to just see how far we can take it? Are there any more people willing to dive in? Can we start this with the people we have and make efforts to expand? What are your views? Would you like to be part of this or would you not?

How did this thread go from programming competitions to making a non-profit coding company? Anyways, the one problem I see with this is how to manage the different levels of programming skills on the team.
