wow, I just realized that I accidentally revived this thread... had it open in a tab then when I got to it I forgot how old it was. Look at the dates, that's gotta be a record.

Yeah that's quite a dead thread. But anyhoo, I don't think that any of my grandparents programmed, but my mum did x86 assembly. I told her I was learning it, and she whipped out all of these ancient reference books which was really wierd.

I think i once was caught programming grandparents to give me lots of money for my birthday and christmass. I dont think i used C, it was more of a mind trick.

well, if i was ten years younger maybe...

my dad (probably about the age of some of yall's granddads) wrote punch card assembley for HRB singer a few years before i was born. now basically a software engineer (designs solutions).
