It sounds like a good idea, more of a device for the gadget kids.

Tell you the truth i used to download over dialup over night, but that was only 200 meg or so and it never happend that much.

On broadband there is now 8mbit speed. Thats about 900KB/s in real terms, 50Meg/min, 3 gig per hour. If you need to download something overnight it must be huge now days. Ok this is with best speed. In worst case its still about 1Gig per hour. I suppose if your downloading some video(wont say what type lol) then it might still take 3 hours, but thats still acceptable IMO.

I cant see most user needing this in this day and age. If it was around 5 years+ ago then i would have got one for one just so i could run a 56K download overnight and forget about it.

It would have to be cheaper than the electricity need to run the computer for 10 hours overnight x 50(number of times you might want to do this). Anything more than �30 ~ $50 would be not worth it.
