I think Syntax Highlighting is the most important key when it comes time to learn a programming language, I mean it does help you A LOT and its light in size compared to IDEs (ex. JBuilder, Eclipse, et al.)!

I use a program called Crimson editor. It does syntax highlighting and tabbing for you. It also all your print jobs to print out with the syntax highlighting.
It also has built in support for C/C++ , Html, ASP, Basic, Fortran, Jsp, LaTex, Matlab, Pascal, Perl, PHP, PL/SQL, Python, and Tcl/TK. You can also customize it for other languages. |
