Heya,

I'm currently backpacking and will be for the next year.
I'm looking for a shell account but I have some caveats (yes, I've googled, but a lot of the free shells out there either have eligibility requirements or appear unsuitable):
- I need Python (and preferably pico - I haven't used *ix in about 8 years)
- I don't trust the computers I'm logging in from not to be riddled with spyware and keyloggers.
- It would be a Really Good Thing if the shell was NOT fully featured, ports were locked down (I shouldn't need any), and long-running processes banned, etc - I'm not going to try and hack the machine, but see previous point.
- I'd like the shell to be free [and a pony for Christmas too!] - even a few dollars a month makes a difference over the period (eg: my accomodation last night cost less than US$3...)
- I'd prefer physical verification to be unnecessary - I don't know where I'll be in a week but I do have an email address...
- The shell needs to be accessable via vanilla telnet and (preferably) ftp. I can't necessarily install anything (much less download it in the case of some Internet Cafes on dialup ;-) and many machines will not have SSH, SSL, etc.
- I can't promise to do anything particularly useful over the period, and there will be months when I can't/won't access it, but not being able to code hurts.

Any recommendations and/or offers would be appreciated

I would offer a shell, but it won't meet your requirements... as I do not allow telnet or ftp... only ssh, etc. If I have time later on, I'll google around to see what i can find.

I just got an offer today for free shells so heres the Info. Oh it runs on OpenBSD so I hope thats not a problem.
