Problem

when i go to save a file it dont turn out right.

i am saving the files as ".py" without qutoes.

it is just making them regular text files.

I have the same problem.
But:
Just type "your_file.py" and leave it on "*.py",
then it works

When you save it is on:
"Python and text files (*.py, *.pyw, *.txt)"
right?
Then instead of just save it as:
"my_file"
then svae it as:
"my_file.py"
