OK, summarizing it:
1. You're new at programming
2. You're taking programming class at high school
3. Your brother is in hospital
4. Your brother likes sudoku.

What's the point?

I think his point is to make a sudoku game for his brother, but he came here asking for help since he is a newbie to programming.

Can't you see what he's asking? Really....

You want to make a Sudoku game for your brother in hospital, correct? I did this once, didn't get far to be honest. I tried it in C++. Some of the whizz-bang people here will be able to help though!

Please guys, you knew what he was asking, some people just aren't that articulate. Don't waste your time posting if it's not anything useful...

Well, here's my thinking. If you're new to programming, it'll be some time before you're even able to begin a Sudoku game. It'll take a good few weeks for you to finish it. By that time, your brother will hopefully be out of hospital. So just download him a free Sudoku game off the Internet, and work on your own one in your spare time.

Well, personally, I would suggest giving your brother a set of Sudoku puzzles, rather than a Sudoku solver. If you brother likes Sudoku, and he's got time to spare, he'll probably enjoy solving the puzzles himself rather than watching a computer program do it.

There are books available with plenty of puzzles. And there are programs available free for generating puzzles. All you need then is a printer.

If you really want to give your brother something to occupy his mind, give him a laptop with a decent development environment (eg VB in this case) and necessary documentation and ask HIM to produce a Sudoku solver for you ......

I think he means a Sudoku generator, rather than a Sudoku solver...

actually i think he means "blah blah blah me mee mi mo, nan coo cah tah".

this is more incoherent and irrelevant than the commercials talking about you inheriting genetic cholesterol traits from half-relatives like your aunt...

but no seriously that's a great idea, just compile an executable file and ask the hospital if you can upload it to their server. i'm sure they'll say yes. or you could just buy him a pencil????
