How, would you go about making a text adventure game, would it just be tons of case switches, functions...ect. Easy stuff like that? Or does it get really complicated?

It can be as easy or as comples as you want it to, but yea, it could be really easy with switch and if statements if you want it to be.

A text-base adventure game would be easy me thinks...A lot of switch statements, functions, file I/O,

Who would it need file I/O? Wouldn't you only need that to save games?

You would more than likely use file IO if it was a text based game, most games are implemented as a large loop.

This sounds like an interesting idea, kind of like a choose your own adventure story. It would be nice to have graphics though.

That's what I was going to do, but now that I found out you need IO..I don't think I can do it just yet. Anyone want to help me?

Generating random numbers is also very helpful
