I've never used Ruby... what's it about / used for?

Apparently it's Smalltalk, revisited. I've tried a little Smalltalk, and I really liked it, so I have to check this out. I believe there's a Ruby-oriented competitor to PHP called Ruby on Rails or something as well.

Ruby is a fully-OOP language. Really nice, and fluent to code in.

Does anyone here apart from Bulio actually use the language?

No, I don't use it... but it has made its way to a list of about 5 languages that I want to learn.

I think a Ruby forum would be useful, i plan on learning it soon.
I mean come one, it has got to be used more than the Tcl/Tk forum.
