Is this a glitch?

It says on the forums page at the bottom, that the most people ever online were over 2200...

That is more then half our members, that doesn't make sense. I usually see about 10-30 people on MAX, morning, night and day.

Does this include guests, that might make a biiiit more sense. Or was this just some wild glitch created during downtime?

Online people includes guests as well as members. Guests often outnumber members by six to one. Still seems farfetched. Maybe they added some numbers as text instead of numbers: 22 + 62 = 2262 .

Actually it was wierd, I don't know if it was right or not but I did see that number of people on the forums one day. but only say 20 of them were members and the rest were all guests. it was kind of wierd. but it could have been a mistake or something. I didn't have a stats stuff setup so I couldn't go and check that but the forum software did say the numbers were there. so who knows

Do you know if a visitor counts as a unique IP or a new visit?

Because if it counts by visists coultn't someone have been stupidly been running a program that accesses the main page rapidly?

Ah that explains it. For Santa to deliver presents in the allotted time without violating the laws of physics, he must have clones. Similarly for Ooble to deliver all his posts, it's just they all went on at once due to an administrative mixup.

A similar mixup resulted in the two thousand penguins throwing mince pies down chimneys on Ash Wednesday, but anyway.

Perhaps you should reset the counter so that more reasonable info can be seen in the future.
