Trial version of C++? C++ is a free language, you don't need to pay for it.

On windows try Code::Blocks at www.codeblocks.org, thats a really good one. Or try Dev-C++ at www.bloodshed.net, thats another good'un. They're both free.

Your local computer software store might have it. There is a free visual studio 2005 express version you can download that will get you a nice feel about how it works, unless that's the trial version of C++ you are talking about. If that's the case you would be talking about the trial version of Visual C++. Welcome also.

Yes you can. Its only an IDE it won't effect your final product.

The two I mentioned use the Windows port of g++ called MingW.

That's the Introductory version of Microsoft Visual C++ 6. That product is almost eight years old - why not get a newer version?

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualc/

Guess what? Microsoft were feeling generous - this one's free.

Nothing is wrong with Code::Blocks - it's just designed to be a lightweight IDE with a simple framework which you are meant to extend with plugins. VS is a pretty good IDE from what i'm hearing, and it generates excellent, compact binaries and has a tonne of really good features.
