free MSDN

Hey people,

I was told by a lecturer at my college that students are entitled to a free copy of the MSDN collection designed for students.

Is this right or his he getting my hopes up for nothing, the last I heared of it you had to pay around £30 for it.

Thanks in advance for the help

Depends whether your college/university supports it, I guess.

alot of universities do either give or get you a huge discount on MS products so you might as well check it out and see. but anyway it would be thru your college not thru MS.

My university had the Microsoft Academic Alliance program... which pretty much shelled out stuff like Windows, Visual Studio, Office, etc... for -free-.

Dude, I want MSDN for my computer, I'm still stuck with the one that shipped with my VS ages ago. It's only for Studio 6.0 and I it needs to be updated, sadly, high schools are only just now starting to switch to XP, so I think it might be awhile before we have it.
