GREs (general)
Has anyone here taken the GREs before? I am taking them next month. I bought Barron's and The Princeton Review study guides and downloaded all the materials offered by ETS for test prep. I need to score really highly in all areas to compete with other applicants at the grad schools I'm applying to (I know GRE scores aren't everything, but I don't want to have any flaws in my application). Any suggestions regarding test taking or preparation?

Vocab! It really helps in all the non-math areas. You simply can't do some of the sections if you don't know what a word means. All those books should have word lists for you to memorize. Start way in advance to give yourself plenty of time.

Thanks for the tip! I'm expecting to learn around 400 new words this month, which include the 350 or so that occur a lot on the GREs.
