Hello fellow programmers! One thing that I hate more than anything else is spam. I don't so much mind porn spam etc... as I absolutely loathe the spammers who try to extract bank or credit card etc... information from unsuspecting readers. Personally, I've never been scammed, but I receieve so much of it that it's sickening. I'd like to put a stop to it. I received encouragement from the London spammer who receieved jail time not too long ago. I don't have too much of an idea, so I welcome thoughts here. I know C/C++, Win32, XHTML/CSS, and a little bit of PHP. I'm willing to really buckle down on PHP/MySQL to try and create a database of some sort to track spammers and possibly try to retaliate in some way, alert the authorities, and allow people to come to the site to be able to recognize known spammers/schemers etc... I know this will take a lot of resources, both time and money, but I'm willing to put up a lot of effort if I have people with me to help finance such a site.

Anyone with any ideas?
