Remove minimum search word lengths

Something I've been meaning to post for a while now, but I find it a constant pain in the are trying to search the forums for something I know is going to be covered, but I can't find anything because the term I'm using is too short.

I guess these are usually acronyms. But even then theres no point typing it all out as nobody refers to the refered item unabbreviated especially given the fact that most programmers are so inherently lazy they wont spell out their full name . I can't remember the last thing that really griped my gears, but I gave up in the end. It may possibly be about a file extension format, most of which are 2 chars short of a searchable term. Can't really think of any examples now either as I'm nearly falling asleep.

http://acronymsonline.com/

^ a non exhaustive list of things that I can't search for.

Who knows, maybe it will cut down on redundant threads? though I wouldn't put my hopes on it.

But yeah anyways, perhaps remove the minimum word length for searches or maybe enforce a ban on Acronyms ? :beard:

Cheers,

dvy b aka Seif
