Question NetBeans Help

I was wondering if anyone here knows the name of a step-by-step book on creating java programs with netbeans, starting from creating a simple hello world program to slightly more complex GUI applications. I am having a difficult time understanding and using netbeans. Its much faster for me to create a simple java program with notepad.

I would like it to be a book, but it could be a tutorial site as well. or ebook.

i found eclipse to be easier and better, but it has not native Java GUI builder.
