Re: Advice Open Source Gui App
You shouldn't use VC++ 6.0 any more because 1) its too old, 2) it doesn't support c++ very well, 3) its been upgraded several times. Get VC++ 2008 Express because its free.
QT is portable between *nix and MS-Windows (might be to MAC too, I don't know). VC++ is not. Which to use depends on whether you want portability or not. If you intend to write games then OpenGL might be a better choice.

I see...tnx... so it depends on portability... Qt is much portable than MS VISUAL STUDIO... but in terms of the usage?... what i mean is the "Easy to use" factor? which one weighs more?

Re: Advice Open Source Gui App
I would vote for QT being easier to use
