Books for beginning Windows programs

Are there some books that are pretty good at showing a person how to begin to make some GUI applications using Java? I'd probably spend lots of time first doing lots of console programming, but after that I'd like to try some simple GUI applications.

Java's site is a pretty good reference for building GUI applications using Swing. I learned how to do it through Java's site and my high school site.
