Maybe they'd prefer if we all instead turned to pirating their software...

Seriously though, does anyone know if MSFT's claim is valid? I've not seen any mention about what patents they can claim have been infringed upon or anything along those lines...

I can't see anywhere in that article where Microsoft threatens to sue anybody, let alone users. Ballmer is just spreading fud, but then so are you.

If linux did infringe microsofts patent laws then i would probaly agree with microsoft decison to take actions.
