Fractal Art
[Fractals] are quite amazing, I must say. Has anyone else tried making them?
Here are a couple of mine: ["Black Hole"] ["Fireball"] |

I did a Mandelbrot thangy back in 1982. Had to optimize the hell out of it to get decent performance, back then.

I can only imagine. "Black Hole" took me three hours to render on a 3.2GHz P4. Though it does consist of about 20 layers, and I rendered it at a stupidly high resolution (3200*2400).

I really like fractals but alls I did was tweak different equations and go oo pretty, I'd like to sometime be able to plan a fractal or something a little more deliberate
I think I might use Blackhole as my wallpaper.. I like it.. a lot

Thanks!
![]() Ultra Fractal is a great programme. It lets you create your own fractal formulas, fractal colouring formulas, fractal mapping formulas and so on with syntax much like a programming language. Very nice customization. |
