Hi, I just started experimenting with PHP, and I was wondering what would be a good way to learn it. Can anyone suggest a book? Or maybe a tutorial online? Any ideas are appreciated

PHP cookbook is a great way to go, it is an O'Reilley book.

ISBN: 1-56592-681-1

It teaches PHP pretty much by example, and they have some really usefull examples in there, it is more or less how I learned to work with the language. If you are brand new to PHP and programming in general you might want to go the route of "Learning PHP" which is another O'Reilley book--though I am not sure of the ISBN.

I learned mostly through the PHP.net manual and examples on the web... but you can't beat an O'Reiley books.

If you could find it, it would be great. I don't want to go out and pay 40$ for a book, but if I have to I will
