Homebrew Software on palm os?
Hi. my uncle gave me a palm zire m150 that he doesn't use anymore cuz he got a new pda. I really don't have any need for a pda but figured it would be something cool to tinker with and learn from. If anythign i figured i could learn about programming a touchscreen from it. Is there any developer kits for palmOS? it has version 4.1 on it right now. Is it limited to any certain programming languages? Im pretty sure palmOS isn't open source because that would be helpful to look over the code. Does anyone know of any projects going on that might help in reverse engineering it? thanks for any replies in advance.
edit: sorry didn't realize i was in the scripting misc section |

Hmm. I seem to remember a lot of people developing for the Palm platform a while back. I know there's some software to help Palm Pilots talk to Linux; comes with most distros. I've never owned a Palm machine, so I don't have any more details; I suggest googling around. There must still be some information out there that'll help you.
