I have been programming in C++ for a short while. I know most of the basics of the language. I am writing programs for linux. I need to know how I can interact with the kernel. For instance, my program needs to be able to retrieve the IP address of a network interface on the system. How do I do it. Are there some header files that I can include to be able to retrieve stuff from the internals of linux. There has to be. Could you guys please help me out.
