I was just wondering if anyone has come across a good comprehensive guide to Common LISP. I have read a really good Scheme-centered book, and i've seen that Common LISP has alot of similiarities(both synthatical and semantical). What i'm looking for exactly and am hoping to acquire soon is a free online book that assumes no previous programming experience. Although I do have some moderate experience in the field, I like to start a language from the ground up so I could sink into the mindset and the revolving dominant paradigms. Any help or recommendation would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

My dad has plenty of books on LISP, although they are a little outdated probably. I will ask him which he reccomends. AI was his field, so he should be able to reccomend a good book.

The book "COMMON LISP: A Gentle Introduction to Symbolic Computation" is what you are looking for.

I'm a very big fan of Common LISP, it is so flexible that I am getting spoiled.
I liked Java before CL, but now I can only think of how much limits that language has.
