Hello everyone
Hi, my name is Richard, and I've been writing software for a living since about 95 and programming since about '89. I am trying to be more involved with other people and come out of my antisocial little shell more so here I am...

Re: Hello everyone
Mostly I use C++. I have used a bit of a lot of different languages, but most of my work has been in C++ with a lot in C before C++ was as portable as now. I have to say though that I do not get as attached to languages as most people. I like C++ because it is very general purpose and I have worked in several specialties where Java was not the best choice because of performance or other reasons. I use a lot of different interpreted languages from time to time like Perl and to a lesser degree Python and Ruby, but I am not as into them as a lot of programmers seem to be these days.
It's not as long as it seems since the first five or six years I was programming I was just a kid and it was only a hobby/obsession then. |

We will probably see you around in a few different lobbies then, which is always good. Chris

Re: Hello everyone
Wow, you're a pro, total coolness... I envy people who's great in programming and can code really well... I visited your site and its really interesting, You remind of my Father, He's a programmer too but he's a teacher, he learned to program all by himself, he started programming way back to 90's but he never shifted to c++, and programmed in clipper,to fox,to foxpro... he's the reason why im into programming right now... sad to say he passed away... (T_T)... anyway welcome to the community, and i hope youll help me when there's a problem into mycode

Re: Hello everyone
Hey Ranton. Yeah it would be a good idea to speak up a little more. Who knows? you may one day be hired by some famous entrepreneur to make it big.
