To start I hate introductions (They make me feel awkward... )

Hello. I'm a college freshman persuing a degree in computer science. I find forums to be helpful in a number of areas so I tend to join them when I have an interest. Hey it worked for writing (worked wonders actully) and history, why not computers?

I'm currently learning the C++ programming language and aspire to become a game programmer.

Welcome! Sounds like a great starting point for becoming a game programmer. But if C++'s learning curve turns you off, remember that there's plenty of other languages to help you get to a point where you're producing visible results more quickly. Enjoy the forums.
