Wordpress problem
I have already posted this on wp support forum but seems no one is interested to help me.
The problem is, the link for older posts do not appear in any of my page. For example, when I set the archive to show 20 posts, the archive shows 20 posts but links to other posts older than these 20 posts cannot be seen. Please tell me if you have any idea how to do this. Thanks |

Re: Wordpress problem
I've used wordpress many times, but don't mess around with the archive settings myself. Can't you just set no limit for the archive, so all old posts will show? Or do you have to set a limit? In which case, can you not just set it extremely high?

Re: Wordpress problem
I don't know where the problem occurs..either the script itself or the template.
The archive and categories does not appear before so I use the plug-in "CQS" to make these features shows...but as I said above, it only shows the number that I set.. Can I replace the whole script without affecting the whole content? |

Re: Wordpress problem
Yes you can. There's a whole theme system that sits on top of the wordpress engine that sits on top of the database. Any one level can be changed without disturbing the one beneath it.
Within the theme you used you can enable and disable archives (unless the theme was not coded to standards). And I don't see what the "problem" is either. Of course it only shows the number that you set. That's what the number is... how many will be shown. And if you want it to show all of them, make it a very large number, or see if you can disable the archive limit. |
