Captcha/OCR break
Can anyone get me pointed in the right direction... i need a program (idc if i have to pay for it, if its open source, or anything in between)... that reads the text out of image captchas. im willing to pay $100 paypal for programming assistance in this area. links would be appreciated too.
the specific image i am trying to do OCR on is the image verification on a popular classifieds web site (CL), example attached. |

This is pretty close to violating the rules here, you are asking someone to write a program for you that violates the terms of service of a website. Something that is frowned upon here.

Please don't post multiple copies of the same question.
I have deleted the other copies of the thread, so please just use this thread. Thanks

This question has nothing to do with C++, so I'd suggest the C++ forum is an inappropriate place for it.
Since the type of image shown is specifically used by several web sites to prevent automated spamming (i.e. a user has to enter the text shown to gain entry) this request does fall in the domain of hacking and techniques for breaching security. Fortunately, the techniques for designing such images to counter OCR techniques are significantly more advanced, more diverse, and more easily evolved, than the state of the art for OCR. |
