Downloading series of images?
Basically, I am new to Visual Basic, so I don't know much about it.
However, I want to make a program, that will download a series of images, for example. http://www.somesite.com/image001.jpg, http://www.somesite.com/image002.jpg, http://www.somesite.com/image004.jpg, so on. All I need it todo is, like download site.com/image001, image002, so on, untill I tell it to stop. (Or like, it reaches 999) How would I go about doing this? I need this because I want to download a bunch of pictures I have on freewebs, that are like image001, image002, so on, and I don't not have FTP acsess, so I figure this would make it easier. |

I thought the images are sent to your machine when you visit the a site? Try visiting the site and look at your browsers temp folder.

Using the "Microsoft Internet Transfer Protocol Control" you can grab web images.
Dim bytData() As Byte
bytData() = Inet1.OpenURL("http://www.somesite.com/images/image1.gif", icByteArray)
Open App.Path & "\example.gif" For Binary Access Write As #1
Put #1, , bytData()
Close #1 |
