Office Registry Keys

I was wondering if anyone here had the knowledge of wether or not all of the registry keys associated with Microsoft Office would be written on installation?
On the other hand my view is that alot of them may well not be there until something in particular triggers them, i.e. Setting values to options within an application, for the first time.

Google isnt giving me shit but how to pluck my precious serial numbers.

My reasons for knowing this is that I am writing a program that backs up Office registry values and allows them to later be restored. My worry is that I could be missing alot of relevant keys, since I dont often use Office personally therefore have not toggled endlessly with its features.

Any insight is much appreciated.

I have found alot of keys under the software/office/ key that are in no way hidden, morphed or encrypted. They all relate to the general options and settings which is what I am trying to achieve, I presume whatever keys your talking about are specificly created that way as they need not be changed or altered..?
