Ok, so in a previous post in C/C++ i wanted to begin work on a text adventure game. All i need is at least one more programmer that can help out with intense coding, and maybe teach me some stuff. Kind of mentore me, anyone interested?

It might be good if you could create an entertaining story line, and some kind of a combat system. Later you could reuse the story and turn it into a 2d game.

i combat system based on percentages would be easy liek the old Civilization combat.

just remembered how much I love CivII, off to play it now

I wanna join! Though my C++ isn't brilliant, it'd be good for teaching me to work with the Windows APIs. And I like text adventure.

Ok, so if you want to join or help just post. I'm getting a good C++ book soon, so i can actually start it, anyone know of some good online tutorials though?

i'm willing to help i need to do something to get out of playing games all the time when at home....

Oh and i am making a very long windend version of naughts and crosses at the minute (planing to make it into battle tic-tac-toe playable over the internet ).

While I can't be of any help.. I'm really interested to hear more about the project you have planned... I'm a big adventure fan... I'm also curious about the programming behind a game like this... please post any more details when you have them...

Just the phrase "text adventures" doesn't sound very exciting if you are goning to sell copies of it, so perhaps adding some animation would be nice.
