World Map

I need to have a world map where the users can navigate different regions and choose any reagion.
Is there anything already available?

I'm not sure about this. But I think you can do this with google maps. Dawei did a similar thing a while back. here's a link.

The google API/Map seems to be pretty popular. I'm seeing more and more. I have yet to try it out myself though. Plus, I don't know any other free software out there that you can use for maps in your programming.

Google Maps is free software? Last time I checked it needed proprietary serverside stuff tha only Google has.

Strange, I didn't have any problems using it. If you want someone else's software that crosses a search term to a lat/long fix, they might want money for it (I would).
