Howdy..
I'm new and posted once or twice already. I've been exposed to computers since about 4 and actually working with them since about 14. I've been working in the corperate enviroment since 17 and I am now 26. I've been wanting to get a hold on programming so i start taking classes up at the locat Community College. I figure it'd help with more then just programming, that was just the added bonus.
I want to learn programming to make life easier and to have a new sense of accomplishment. Also, works been harping on me to get ahold of a good degree. I run a 27 + server network, site wide security system and more stuff like that. I wish it was as cool as it sounds to say. lol I'm hanging out here to learn what I can. Hopefully one day I can actually give back.  I'm trying to pick up VBScripting since I'm doing VB.Net right now. I'm not good with it. I am still learing a whole lot. I can make independent apps that are small and simple, pass variable, compute, and stuff like that. I want to do OS interaction, more healthy programs, and just stuff that is interesting and a bit more complicated. Anyhow, long winded over! |

Welcome to the forum. I've put a couple small challenges in the lounge, without many takers, if you'd care to take a look. I'm considering a third, a simple web app, for which I'll provide the necessary resources (server space and DB). They're really for novices, who often request "a thing to do." We seem to have more talkers than walkers, but that's just normal humanity for ya
